Once he was graduated, Nasrollah Afjei spent a year apprenticed to Rasam Arabzadeh before continuing his calligraphy studies with one of the best calligraphers, Kimia Ghalam Zanjani. He then started his apprenticeship with Aliakbar Kaveh, who was a prodigy of Emad ol-Ketab. Later, he joined the Iranian Calligraphy forum and studied with Hossein Mirkhani. During this period, he gained various experiences while applying color and form in calligraphy, which made him one of the first among Iranian calligraphers who combines and develops calligraphy possibilities using painting material and other drawing techniques.
Nasrollah Afjei has attended numerous auctions from auction houses such as Tehran auction, Bonhams, Christie's, Sotheby's, Millon, Artscoops, Ader, and Morocco with more than 80 artworks; more than 79% of which were sold. He was awarded the 1st degree of art and culture from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and is a member of the Iranian Science and Culture Hal of Fame.
